Wow, it's been a long time, I didn't even remember that this site was still up. I hope everyone is well and moved on to better games than Age of Conan turned out to be. Never heard the story of what happened with Fallout, maybe someone can fill me in one day. Really sorry for just disappearing on you all.

In case anyone was wondering what happened to me, I sort of needed some time to get my life together and figure out what I wanted to do after grad school. I spent the better part of a year bumming around India, getting my mind around the globalization and the trends I could capitalize on for my future. Decided I want to make enough money that I can keep bumming around the world at leisure, so I'm going to be starting law school in September (specializing in intellectual property law relating to the biosciences -- so no, my grad work in biochemistry wasn't a waste). Still planning a motorcycle trip through Mongolia before starting school in September, just for good measure.

Anyway, between women and work, I don't have much time to play games, so the only game I'm playing at the moment is the strangely addictive, and hilariously limited MyBrute. You can't choose anything beyond appearance, the game is completely random, and your limited to 3 fights a day... still somehow fun...

Arakian Wow! You have been busy. Congrats to you. Age of conan turned out to be a bummer. I resubbed about 2 months ago and has improved a bit. I have kept an eye on the forums off and on. Fallout left for warhammer shortly after krypteia merged. They left the guild to another guild called assyrian code who all got banned for hacking. Now, the guild city belongs into the hands of Legion of flames & snowhawk clan who filled the void of power after Krypteia, fallout, onslaught, exmimos, and murder hurd left. Many of legion in flames are ex-eximos. Age of conan has gone through quite a few changes but all in all is still the same game. They added pvp levels/eq and fixed crashes, lag, & bugs. Thats about it.

Hey hey! I have been considering resubing after a huge disappointment that patch 3.1 brought for WoW. Figured I'd come over and see if there was any life left here.

I see you touched up on a few things Mork, but if you still visit these forums I got a few more questions.

-Are there still 1 combo killing blows (instagibbed)?
-Hows the lag when doing siege battles and is it playable now?
-Hows the end game? They fix the dungeons, add more content?
-With all mmos, class balance is always an issue, but are the classes semi balanced at all now (tolerable)?

yes there are still 1 combo killing blows. However, a lot of classes have been tweaked so its a bit more fun and balanced now. (Except tos are rediculusly op) Otherwise all classes have been balanced pretty well. They are going to release a new patch in the next month or so that is changing the combat mechanics and totally removing all 1 shotting abilities from the game.

They have made great improvements in sieging and fixed a lot of bugs. I dont experience any lag or problems, and there is little complaint about sieging bugs on cimmeria forums.

-End game, they opened up wing 2 of BRC. They also created a new dungeon called xibaluku and a new solo instance. However, neither are anything special or anything to write home about. They also released a new lvl 60 area called yamirs pass.

In my opinion the classes are pretty balanced except for the tos. Like I said, in the next month or so they are completely changing the combat mechanics, feats, damage, and etc. They are attempting to remove the one shotting and make the pvp more like war. It might be worth checking out once the patch goes live.

The game is still much like your remembered it except for the points mentioned above and the fact they instituted a pvp system with pvp gear. Also, the core group of exmios got banned and moved onto WaR. Therefore, its a bit more fun to play without those asshats around. If you decide to resub look me up and ill hook you up into the guild I'm in. Its a good all around guild with cool people. Currently, one of the top raiding guilds on the server with some pvp. Don't know if you remember pride or xbar but their still kicking around as well.

I did start playing again. Altho Im only 24 I have felt an improvement in the games performance. I have nothing to complain about so far, except maybe low lvl rogues, they're a bitch to kill.

I also joined a guild called Drakaulos Archon. They seem coo so far.

seriously, just join me at exophagy. We are one of 2 guilds on the server raiding Black ring citadel wing 3. We have all the bosses on farm up to Leviathus. We just got our sieging battlekeep at tier 2 on its way to tier 3. We have a few former krypteia members as well. Many of our core players are pvp lvl 3+ and like to pvp.

Drakaulos Archon is an ok guild but very inexperienced and not as progressed as other guilds. I'll get you in

Holy shit arakian i hope u do soremember me I was in the guild when yall created it but then left with the Genesis people after the yakhmar incident this is Zoul from the squad Vendetta used to be Galanas leader anyhow i wont feel bad if ya dont remember me but still when u get back on ther boards hit me up at my msn hell_spawn_2000@hotmail.com and the game has improved alot cant wait till next patch which will either revive the game or kill it hoping its the first one though

Exophagy is still going along, not many Krypteia left in it but there are a couple - seems like most of you all left for Aion.

Welp, Exo is still going strong with the raiding but isn't very active in minis. It's a great guild though strong and organized and while not as in-your-face as Krypteia was it does at least run by elected leaders and all in all has a lot of great and helpful members.

AoC itself is much much better than it ever was, and I would deem it now functionally playable and smooth. There are class imbalances atm primarily casterVSmelee but there was just a big revision patch from the new Director and the next patch will tweak that.

Never had so much fun in AoC as now. And gamecards can be found for $13 for 2 months playtime.
